Jeremy's birthday and Daughtry/Lifehouse concert

From Coeur d'Alene we drove to my parents so they could dote on Jeremy for his birthday. We had him open up his presents before heading to lunch at Inca. Lunch was great as usual and then we topped it off with blizzards from Dairy Queen. Yum!

Then we continued our trip to Yakima for our concert that night. We went right to our hotel and checked in, then relaxed a little before heading to dinner. From there we headed to the concert!!! We had great seats and the concert was amazing!

Cavo was the first group to start and even though we hadn't heard of them, they were pretty good. Next was Lifehouse and they were awesome! Most of the songs were ones we knew of and we could sing along. Last but not least was Daughtry. He put on a great show and even came back for an encore and sang three more songs.

We were really glad that we had a hotel room to go back to instead of having to drive home that night. After waking up, we headed back to my parents to say hi and then continued home.

Mother's Day with Carla

After our trip to Montana, we decided to stop in Coeur d'Alene and spend Mother's Day with Carla.

Most of the day was spent relaxing and visiting. At one point, we all got talking about when Jeremy and his brother were little and the racing they did. Then the conversation shifted to mopeds and we decided to start Jerry's up and take a couple of rides around the block.

I laughed so hard when I saw big, tall Jeremy on this little moped! Then Jerry got an even smaller bike out and he looked rediculous!! Carla and I took some cute pictures of the "boys" racing and some with Lilly.

They started putting them away when they asked if I wanted to ride one. I had never been on one and thought I might as well do it! Jeremy was a little hesitant but how much trouble could I get myself into when Jerry made we wear a huge helmet. I had a blast and only when up and down the block a couple of times. My turns were not smooth at all and really made me look like a beginner.

Later that night we took Carla out for dinner at a great pizza place. Since it was Mother's Day they gave everyone chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. The guys weren't interested which was fine for Carla and I, since we then ate two a piece!! I know Carla is a kindred spirit when she wore the chocolate just as well as I did!!!
As usual it was great spending time with Jerry and Carla.

Polson, Montana

I had never been to Polson, Montana located on Flathead Lake where Jeremy had spent so much time when he was little. He had told me all about it and we were planning a trip in July. However, we had to take that trip early due to his grandfather passing away.

We left thursday morning and took our time driving there. We stopped several places to sightsee and had lunch with his mom in Spokane. We checked into the hotel right on the lake and it was beautiful.

The next morning we met Jeremy's aunt Jane and his cousin's wife Heather and their little boy Rylan for breakfast. Afterwards Jeremy and I decided to drive around the lake so I could get the full lake experience while he told me stories about his childhood. We spent a couple of hours driving and really enjoyed it. That night we had dinner at Jeremy's grandma's sister's house. The sister's name was Hattie and she was very sweet. Jane brought over Chinese food and we sat around and talked.

Carla, Jeremy's mom had Saturday off and drove down for the service. She picked up her brother Dean and the four of us met for breakfast. The service was for both Jeremy's dad and grandfather. It was very nicely done and had a 21 gun salute and honor guard for his grandpa. They also had a bagpipe playing and it gets me every time. We went over to Hattie's again and had leftovers for lunch. The rest of the day was spent relaxing.

We had breakfast one more time with Jane and Heather sunday morning and then took off for Coeur d'Alene.

The lake was beautiful and we are trying to plan a trip back later this summer to go camping with the rest of the family.

Mother's Day with Mom, Jenny and I

Jenny had a chance to be in town the week before Mother's Day and so we decided to celebrate a week early. Mom picked Olive Garden for lunch and we had a wonderful time! We gave her the facial certificate and she loved it!

After lunch we went to see G-ma Doris and got some great pictures with her. It was nice for us three girls to hang out and spend time together. Those times seem few and far between.

I'm glad we could honor mom and thank her for everything she does for us.
