Wii and Guitar Hero

So, last Friday night I had been toying with the idea of going to a movie. My friend Rachelle and I kept going back and forth on different movies, however we don't share the same taste and decided to scrap the idea. I told her I just wanted to get into comfortable clothes, get some food and then go back to her house and stay inside. We decided to play video games! Haha! Yes, I know two grown women playing video games! We had such a blast though! I brought a new game for the Wii and she bought two new games for the Wii at Walmart. U should have seen us standing in front of the tv with our controllers. We were contorting our bodies and our arms were all over the place to get whatever character on the tv to do what we wanted. We got to laughing hysterically and at one point I lost it laughing and ended up falling to the floor, where Rachelle soon followed. I had tears in my eyes and several times almost peed my pants! We ended up playing carnival games, bowling, playing olympic events and playing guitar hero! We will plan other nights like this, guaranteed!

Seattle and the Adele Concert!

At the end of January, I was able to make a trip up to Seattle to visit my sister Jenny and go to a concert. We had been planning for this concert for three months. Jenny loves Adele, a new up and coming singer from the UK. I hadn't really heard about her until I realized some of her songs were on the radio and then I loved her. Jenny's birthday was in November and so I decided to look up tour dates. I was in luck, Adele was playing in Seattle on January 26th. I bought tickets right away. I didn't want to send them to her and so I waited until she came home for Thanksgiving. Then I took her out to dinner and the look on her face when she opened them was priceless.

So finally the time came to head up there. Besides the fact that the weather wasn't the best and I had been up all night on call, I made it to Seattle in one piece after drinking tons of coffee and calling Jenny tons of times to help me stay focused on driving. We had a nice relaxing day shopping, having chop suey with family, going to church and chilling at Jenny's apt. The next day I walked downtown to meet her for lunch and she ended up having the rest of the day off. We hit up a couple of stores and then went for happy hour at Umi Saki House. I had never been there, but will definently go back!

Monday night was the concert and we decided to drive the car up to the concert. We got there at a good time and were able to get a good spot next to the wall. James Morrison opened and I only knew one song of his. However, I loved him and went out that next week and bought a cd of his. Adele was so great to see in concert. She has such an amazing voice for someone so young. I was able to get some good pictures and record some songs. The concert wasn't nearly long enough and before we knew it, it was over. I would definently go see her again in concert!James Morrison
